​Under the title The Threshold of a Hundred Myths, Mubeen Sadhika has written a series of one-page micro–short stories. She also wrote a similar set of one hundred stories in the subsequent volume. Each of these stories centers on a single theme or object. The micro-stories are written in the mode of magical realism and offer readers a sense of wonder along with aesthetic pleasure. For the second volume, Sri Lankan Tamil artist Vasuhan contributed a striking cover illustration. Both volumes received wide acclaim and won the Nesamani Nagason Award. They have also been translated into Malay with a grant from the Government of Tamil Nadu.
