艺术家瓦苏汉探索自然、研究人类文明、迁移、种族冲突和身份认同之间的联系，他的作品多由他在旅行中收集的材料创作而来，例如沙子、贝壳、浮木和来自他家乡的香料，在艺术创作上，他的人本主义情怀奠定了他的视觉美学。
