Tha - Varam
Inspired by Plants, Nature, and Climate Change Momijiyama Museum , Kagoshima, Japan. Nestled among tea fields, whispering bamboo, and the native Mamojima plants of Kagoshima, Tha-varam unfolds as a meditative journey through nature, art, and ecological reflection. Taking its name from the Tamil word for plants Thavaram, the exhibition explores our deep, ancient relationship with the natural world—and the delicate threads that now bind us to a rapidly changing climate. Held at the Ceramics Museum, surrounded by living landscapes, Tha-varam presents a collection of sketches, drawings, paintings, and sculptures that bloom both indoors and out. The artworks echo the quiet resilience of plant life, the language of roots and leaves, and the rhythms of growth, decay, and renewal. Tha-varam is not only an exhibition—it is a gesture of care, a reminder of beauty, and a call to protect what remains green and alive.
